Image Shift

Image Shift allows you to modify the location of the image on the page. You can shift the printed image along the X and Y axes of each sheet of paper.

To set options for Image Shift:

  1. Depending on your print driver, on the Images Options tab, do one of the following:
    • Select the Image Shift subtab.
    • Click the Image Shift button.
  2. If you selected 1-Sided Print in the Printing Options window, for Image Shift Options, select an option.
    • Automatically Select: Uses the default printer settings.
    • Independent: Allows you to adjust the settings manually.
  3. If you selected 2-Sided Print in the Printing Options window, for Image Shift Options, select an option.
    • Automatically Select: Uses the default printer settings.
    • Independent: Allows you to adjust the settings manually.
    • MirrorX: Allows you to move images on both sides to an equal distance but in opposite directions along the X axis, simultaneously.
    • MirrorY: Allows you to move the images on both sides to an equal distance but in opposite directions along the Y axis, simultaneously.
    • MirrorBoth: Allows you to move the images on both sides to an equal distance but in opposite directions along the X and Y axes, simultaneously.
    • MirrorX, TandemY: Allows you to move images on both sides to an equal distance, in opposite directions along the X axis and the same direction along the Y axis, simultaneously.
    • MirrorY, TandemX: Allows you to move images on both sides to an equal distance, in opposite directions along the Y axis and the same direction along the X axis, simultaneously.
    • TandemX: Allows you to move images on both sides to an equal distance and in the same direction along the X axis, simultaneously.
    • TandemY: Allows you to move images on both sides to an equal distance and in the same direction along the Y axis, simultaneously.
    • TandemBoth: Allows you to move images on both sides to an equal distance and in the same direction along the X and Y axes, simultaneously.
  4. For Independent, do the following:
    1. For Side 1, enter an amount to shift the page image along the X axis and the Y axis.
    2. If Side 2 is available, enter an amount to shift the page image along the X axis and the Y axis.
  5. Click OK.
