Page Layout

You can print multiple pages on one sheet of paper, specify sides printed, and format a booklet.

The preview pane uses a sample image to simulate the effects of the page layout options that you have selected before you apply those changes to the print job.

To select the page layout options:

Click Print Settings > Document Options > Page Layout.
Click Layout.
For Layout, select the number of pages to print on each sheet of paper, or select one of the following booklet options.
- If a finishing device with booklet maker is installed, select Booklet Creation to access the booklet options.
- If no finishing device with booklet maker is installed, select Booklet Layout, then click Advanced Booklet Options to access the booklet options.
To print page borders, for Page Borders, select Enabled.
For 2-Sided Printing, select the paper sides to print.
- 1-Sided Print: The job prints on one side of the paper. Use this option when you print on transparencies, envelopes, labels, or other media that cannot be printed on both sides.
- 2-Sided Print: The job prints on both sides of the paper to allow binding on the long edge. The following illustrations show the result for documents with portrait and landscape orientations, respectively:
- 2-Sided Print, Flip on Short Edge: Both sides of the paper print to allow binding on the short edge. The following illustrations show the result for documents with portrait and landscape orientations, respectively:
  Note: Some paper types, sizes, and weights do not print automatically on both sides. See the printer documentation for more information.
To set the Orientation of a page, select an option.
- Portrait: Orients the paper so that the text and images print across the short dimension of the paper.
- Landscape: Orients the paper so that the text and images print across the long dimension of the paper.
Click OK.
