Perfect Binding
Use Perfect Binding to print and bind a paperback book. It wraps and glues a cover around the body of the book. You can also trim the book to your desired size.
To use Perfect Binding:
- On the Printing Options tab, from the Finishing list, select Perfect Binding.
- To switch on perfect binding, click the Perfect Binding check box.
- For Binding Edge, select an option.
- To select the paper for the cover, from the Cover Settings list, select the following options.
- To select the paper for the back cover, from the Back Cover Settings list, select the following options.
- Other Size: This option allows you to select the paper size for the cover.
- Other Color: Allows you to select from a list of available colors or create custom colors.
- Other Type: Allows you to select the type of paper or create custom paper types.
- Other Weight: Allows you to select a specific paper weight for the cover.
- To select the paper for the back cover, from the Back Cover Settings list, select the following options.
- To select how a cover prints, from the Cover Settings list, click Cover Printing. Select a cover printing option.
- Blank: This option uses the default value for the cover image.
- Printed: This option uses page 1 of the document for the cover image.
- To change the cover position settings, from the Cover Settings list, next to Cover Position, click the button.
- Click Trimming, then select an option.
- To select a trim size, click Trim Size, then select from a list of sizes or select Custom Trim Size.
- To change the trimming adjustment settings, next to Trimming Adjustments, click the button.
- Click OK.
