HTTPS Help
Use this page to specify when the printer uses HTTPS (SSL) communication to encrypt data and to select which device certificate to use.
- For Use SSL, select an option.
- Never: This option sets SSL encryption off. If you change the setting from 128 bits or higher to Never, for the setting to take effect, close and restart your broswer.
- To Secure Pages and Passwords: This option sets the printer to secure all web pages using SSL. This option requires that a certificate is instatlled on the printer.
- To allow connections to the printer using SSL v3 only, for Require SSL V3, select the check box.
- For SSL Configuration, select a Cipher Encryption Strength.
- To view the contents of any installed certificates, under Friendly Name, click the link for the certificate. To select a different certiicate for HTTPS, next to the desired certificate, select the radio button. For deetails, see the Manage Certificates Help
- When you are satisfied with your selections, click Save Changes.
