Custom Paper Types Help

The Custom Paper Types page enables you to define up to 5 custom names, and assign base paper types to them. Use this page to define a unique name for your custom paper stock. Once a new Custom Paper Type is saved, its name appears in the list of paper types shown on the printer control panel, in the printer driver, and on the Input Trays page in CentreWare IS.

Custom Name - Enter a name up to 24 characters in length for the Custom Type. Custom Name must be unique, and cannot be None or one of the default paper type names, such as Letterhead. Custom Name is not case sensitive. If this field is left blank, the Default Name is used.

Note: The following characters are not allowed in custom names:
: ' \ " # , ) ( < > \\ ! % ^ [ ] / { } | ? ~ ` . + = -

Use Paper Type - Select a paper type from the drop-down list to associate with the Custom Name. All of the non-custom paper types supported by the printer are available for selection. If a Custom Name is defined, but a Paper Type is not selected, Plain Paper is used by default.

Hide - Select the Hide check box to prevent the Custom Paper Type from being displayed in the printer driver.

When you are satisfied with your selections, click Save Changes to keep the settings or Discard Changes to keep the previous settings.

To remove a Custom Paper Type, delete the Custom Name, select the blank entry in the Use Paper Type drop-down list, and then click Save Changes.
