AirPrint™ Help

Use AirPrint to print directly from a wired or wireless device without using a print driver. Wireless devices must join the same wireless network as the printer. Not all applications support AirPrint.

Notes:
  • When HTTP, IPP, and Bonjour mDNS protocols are enabled, AirPrint is enabled by default. If you disable HTTP, IPP, or Bonjour, AirPrint is disabled.
  • The device that submits the AirPrint job must be on the same subnet as the printer. To allow devices to print from different subnets, configure your network to pass multicast DNS traffic across subnets.

To configure AirPrint:

  1. To enable AirPrint, select Enabled.
  2. To change the printer name, in the Name field, type a new name.
  3. To enter a physical location for the printer, in the Location field, type the location.
  4. To enter a geographic location for the printer, for Geographic Location, enter the latitude and longitude in decimal form.
  5. To modify IPP, click Edit Settings.
  6. To modify Multicast DNS (Bonjour), click Edit Settings.
  7. To add or delete certificates on the printer, click Manage Certificates.
  8. Click Save Changes.
  9. For the new settings to take effect, restart your printer.
