Modify Printer Group Help
Modify Printer Group enables you to add or delete printers
from a custom Printer Group. This function is only available on printer
configurations containing a hard drive.
To modify a printer group, select a custom
Printer Group from
the navigation tree on either the Status, Identity, or Modify
tab. Once a printer group has been selected, the Modify button
becomes active. Click the Modify Group button; the Modify Printer Group page
displays with the selected printer group loaded into the
right side of the page. Select a source printer group from the drop-down
box to display in the left side of the page. You can select any printer
group as the source group.
Note: You can only modify custom Printer Groups.
If you select a default printer group, such as All, Ready, or Warning, the Modify button displays as unavailable.
The source printer group displays printers by IP Address. The second field is a drop-down list that enables you to select printers by Model, Status, Location,
or Contact. Select the checkbox next to each of the printers you want
to copy or move. Click the Copy or Move buttons
located in the center of the page to perform the requested action.
Note: The Copy and Move buttons remain unavailable
until you make a selection from the source printer group.
Once you have copied
or moved the desired printers, you can either click Done to finish,
or select another printer group if you wish to copy or move more printers
into your printer group.
If you copied or moved printers into your new printer group by mistake
or you want to delete specific printers from your printer group, select the checkbox
next
to
those printers and click the Delete Printers button.
Deleting a Custom Printer Group
