System Setup Help
Use the System Setup to configure the printer for operations such as alarm tones, power saver, banner sheets, paper size, RAM disk size, and control panel language.
System Setup
To configure the printer system, set the following options:
Power Saver Timer - Specify the time that the printer is idle before going into Power Saver Mode. Set in the range of 5 to 60 minutes in one-minute increments.
Auto Reset - Specify the time the printer waits for further control panel input before automatically resetting the settings for COPY, SCAN, or FAX and returning to the main screen.
Fault Time-Out and Time-Out - Cancel a printing process when it goes beyond a set time period. Sets the time until the print job is canceled. When this timeout expires, the print job is canceled.
Control Panel Tone - Enable or disable the control panel alarm.
Invalid Key Tone - Enable or disable the invalid entry key alarm.
Job Completed Tone - Enable or disable the job completed alarm.
Fault Tone - Enable or disable the fault alarm.
Alert Tone - Enable or disable the job alert alarm.
Out of Paper Tone - Enable or disable the out-of-paper alarm.
Low Toner Alert Tone - Enable or disable the low toner alert alarm.
Auto Clear Alert Tone - Enable or disable the auto-clear alarm.
All Tones - Enable or disable all of the alarms.
mm / inch - Set the units for custom-size paper to millimeters or inches.
Default Paper Size - Set the default paper size to Letter or A4.
Auto Log Print - Set the Job History Report to print or not print after 22 print jobs have been processed.
Print ID - Specify where to print the user ID on the printed page.
Print Text - Specify if the printer outputs unsupported PDL data as text when the printer receives it. Text data is printed on A4 or Letter-size paper.
Banner Sheet Insert Position - Specify where the banner sheet prints in the print job, or disables banner sheet printing.
Banner Sheet Specific Tray - Specify the tray from which banner sheets print.
RAM Disk - Allocate memory to the RAM Disk file system for the Secure Print, Collating Jobs, and Proof Print, Form Overlay, and Font Download features. RAM Disk is available only when additional memory is installed.
Size Mismatch - Specify how the printer reacts when it detects differences between the sizes of paper specified in the print job and paper loaded in the tray. If the paper in the specified tray runs out, the printer selects the substitute tray based on the Size Mismatch settings.
Startup Page - Enable or disable the Startup Page to print when the printer is turned on.
Letterhead Duplex Mode - Adjust printing for two-sided letterhead paper.
Low Toner Alert Msg - Set to display a message on the control panel when the toner is low.
Panel Language - Specify the control panel language.
When you are satisfied with your selections, click Save Changes to keep the settings or Discard Changes to keep the previous settings.
