To determine an approximate maintenance schedule: Record the date of your first two cleanings, and then divide the elapsed time in half. If your first cleaning was in June, for example, and the second one was in December, then clean the printer about every 2 - 3 months for preventive maintenance.

Using the front panel: Some cleaning procedures are executed through the printer's front panel. Front panel messages guide you through the steps of the procedures and on how to print cleaning instructions.
