802.1X Configuration Root Certificate Help
If a root certificate is not installed, this page enables you to install a new root certificate or choose not to perform server validation. Root certificate file contents must be in base-64 encoded (PEM) or binary encoded (DER) format.
If a root certificate is already installed, this page gives you the additional option of using the existing root certificate. Installing a new root certificate replaces the certificate that is already installed.
If server validation is required for the EAP method(s) you select, then a root certificate must be installed. A root certificate is used to validate the authentication server's certificate. If a root certificate is not installed, server validation is not performed, and the device will accept any certificate from any authentication server.
