802.1X Configuration Device Certificate Help
This page enables you to use the existing device certificate, install a new device certificate, or create a new self-signed device certificate. If the EAP method(s) you selected require a device certificate signed by a certificate authority (CA), install the CA signed certificate here. Device certificate file contents must be in base-64 encoded (PEM), binary encoded (DER), PKCS7 or PKCS12 format.
If you do not install a CA signed device certificate, the printer uses the self-signed device certificate. If you do not create a self-signed device certificate, the default self-signed device certificate is used.
Note: The device certificate is also used by other protocols, such as for secure access to the configuration web pages using HTTPS (SSL). Installing or creating a new device certificate may affect those protocols.
