This is the procedure for installing your Tektronix color printer on a TCP/IP network using a UNIX workstation. Click on the links below to obtain detailed instructions on each step.
- If you are using a network card, the card must be installed in the printer. If the card is not yet installed in the printer, install it now.
- Connect the printer to the network (click on the type of interface you are using):
- Print a configuration page.
- Set the printer's IP addressing parameters:
- Set the printer's other TCP/IP parameters:
Note: The next two steps contain links to general information about host configuration, for host-specific instructions, see the Examples that follow them.
- Add the printer to the host table.
- Assign a print queue to the printer. Be sure to observe the required remote printer queue names
Note: Special instructions for assigning print queues apply if you are using PhaserPrint for UNIX.
