Use PCONSOLE to configure the network Adding a print server
Launch the NetWare utility PCONSOLE. If logged in with an NDS connection, navigate the DS Tree to the Bindery Context and press the F4 key to switch to Bindery mode.
From the Available Options menu, select Quick Setup and press the Enter key. The Print Services Quick Setup window is displayed.
The first available print server is displayed by default. Press the Enter key to display the list of all available print servers. Press the Insert key, then enter the printer's default print server name, and press Enter. The default print server name is in the following syntax:
TEKxxxxxx
where xxxxxx is the last six hex digits of the printer's Printer ID.
The printer's print server name is listed on the Configuration Page. For information on printing a Configuration Page, see The printer's Configuration Page.
When you have entered the default print server's name, press Enter. The new name is displayed in the Print Services Quick Setup window.
Press the down arrow key to select the New Printer field. P1 is the default name. Press the Enter key to edit this name as desired. When done, press the Enter key to return to the Print Services Quick Setup window.
Press the down arrow key to select the New Print Queue field. Q1 is the default name. Press the Enter key to edit this name as desired. When done, press the Enter key to return to the Print Services Quick Setup window.
Press the down arrow key to select the Printer Type field. Parallel is the default name. Press the Enter key to display the Printer Type list. Select Other/Unknown and press the Enter key to return to the Print Services Quick Setup window.
Press the up arrow key to select the Banner Type field. Text is the default name. Press the Enter key to display the Banner Type list. Select Postscript, then press the Enter key to return to the Print Services Quick Setup window.
Press the Escape key once. PCONSOLE prompts you to Save Changes. Select Yes. Press the Escape key again and exit PCONSOLE.
Before beginning this procedure, make sure that the printer is connected to the network and turned on.

Start the Advanced Configuration Tool:
F:CD PUBLIC

Select Quick configuration from the Configure menu. The available Tektronix printers are displayed.
Select the Tektronix printer you wish to configure and press Enter. The factory default print server name is in the following syntax:
where xxxxxx are the last six hex digits of the printer's Printer ID.
Note: If the printer does not appear in the list of available printers, you could have a network hardware problem or an incorrect frame type (see Printer does not appear in the Advanced Configuration Tool). When you have selected a Tektronix printer, a list of file servers is displayed. Select the file server you wish to configure and press Enter.

You may be prompted to log in to the server. Log on with supervisor privileges.
After you log in to the file server, a list of queues is displayed. Select an existing queue or create a new queue. To create a new queue, press Insert, type the name of the queue, and press Enter.
You can now configure more queues or finish the quick configuration.
If you want to finish the quick configuration
Select the name of the file server that will hold the configuration file for this printer and press Enter. This saves the configuration file and restarts the print server portion of the printer (not a complete printer reset).
If you want to configure more queues
Select the name of the file server that will hold the configuration file for this printer and press Enter. (This step is only needed after configuring the first queue.)
A list of queues for the current file server is displayed. To add queues to a different file server, press Escape and return to Step 5. To configure a queue from the current file server, select an existing queue from the displayed list or create a new queue. To create a new queue, press Insert, enter the name of the queue, and press Enter.
Select Exit to exit the Advanced Configuration Tool.
