Indicator	On	Blinking	Off
1. Power	The printer is on and ready for operation.	The printer is warming up, or it is processing or printing an image. The printer is in interactive mode: you have pressed the Menu button.	The printer is off or not ready, or there is an error.
2. Error	If the indicator is on after the power-up sequence, the printer detects an error that is not user-correctable; the printer requires service.	The printer requires attention: for example, ink is low or the printer is out of paper.	Normal operation.

Two-line display

Line 1

• Displays status messages such as Ready, Printing, or the printer's name.

• Displays operation errors and warnings such as Out Of Ink.

• Displays the names of menus and parameters you can set.

• Displays button labels such as Info for displaying printer information, Clean for access to cleaning menus, and Menu for access to a menu of selections. Other labels include <---- for previous, ----> for next, and OK to make selections

Front panel buttons

1. Button 1, the Exit button allows you to perform these menu functions:
   • Back up a level of the menu without making a selection.

   • Exit the menu.

2. Button 2, labeled Info, lets you cycle through information such as the printer's name and the printer's IP address. Pressing Info during a print job displays the job name and source. Pressing Menu changes Button 2 to the following:
   • <---- Scroll backward through the available selections.

3. Button 3, labeled Clean during normal operation, lets you access the cleaning menus. Pressing Menu changes Button 3 to the following as you select submenus:
   • ----> Scroll forward through the available selections.

   • Cancel Cancel a print job or selection.

   • Confirm Confirm an address change (IP, Broadcast, Gateway).

4. Button 4, labeled Menu during normal operation, lets you enter the front panel menu. Pressing Menu changes Button 4 to the following as you select submenus:
   • Menu Provides access to submenus.

   • Print Executes the selected print.

   • OK Accepts the selected value.

• When the front panel is enabled, all front panel menu selections are available. When you press the Menu button, the front panel displays the following message:
  Help Pages

  <---- ----> Menu

  When the front panel is disabled and you press the Menu button, the display shows only the pages in the Help Pages menu (without the heading):

  Configuration Page

  <---- ----> Print

  To access the entire menu with the front panel disabled, you must use a special key sequence each time you want to enter the menu:

  • Press and hold down the Menu button and press the Exit button. The front panel displays the following message:

    <---- ----> Menu

    The full set of menus is now available.
