Front panel overview

The printer's front panel includes an LCD display, menu buttons, and power and error indicator lights. The two-line display shows the status of the printer and menus for different printer operations, such as cleaning.
Front panel indicators
The front panel has two indicator lights:
1 Power
2 Error

The two lines of the display have the following functions:

Refer to Front panel error messages for a list of the front panel messages. For an overview of the front panel menu selections, refer to Front panel menu map.
Front panel buttons
- Button 1, the Exit button allows you to perform these menu functions:
- Button 2, labeled Info, lets you cycle through information such as the printer's name and the printer's IP address. Pressing Info during a print job displays the job name and source. Pressing Menu changes Button 2 to the following:
- Button 3, labeled Clean during normal operation, lets you access the cleaning menus. Pressing Menu changes Button 3 to the following as you select submenus:
- Button 4, labeled Menu during normal operation, lets you enter the front panel menu. Pressing Menu changes Button 4 to the following as you select submenus:
Enabling and disabling the front panel menu
The printer allows a system administrator to lock the front panel menu by downloading a utility file. In this protected mode, you can only print the pages in the Help Pages menu; you cannot modify any settings in the other menus.
