For printing from most applications, follow the instructions on
installing drivers and printer software. Refer to the following
application notes for details on a few applications with special requirements.
For hints and tips on printing from a specific application, you can
get information in the following places:
QuarkXPress
To use the printer with QuarkXPress, use the installer application on
the printer's CD-ROM or diskettes to install the Phaser
300X.PDF printer description file. Refer to "Installing the printer's software" for
instructions on installing the printer's software. Once the file is
installed, the printer's name appears alphabetically in the list of
installed printers in the QuarkXPress custom Page

The PhaserPrint software plug-in operates within the Photoshop
application to improve the image data transfer time from your
Macintosh to your printer. Use the installer application on the
printer's CD-ROM or diskettes to install the PhaserPrint software
plug-in. Refer to "Installing the
printer's software" for instructions on installing the printer's
software. Once the file is installed, select
PhaserPrint from the Export pop-up
menu in the File menu, and make printing selections.
Refer to "PhaserPrint Plug-in for
Photoshop" for details on using the PhaserPrint software plug-in.
If you are using an application that produces PANTONE Colors, see "Using PANTONE Color files" for
information on color library files available for specific
applications.
To use the printer with Aldus PageMaker or FreeHand, and other
applications, use the installer application on the printer's CD-ROM
or diskettes to install the PPD printer description files.
Refer to "Installing the printer's
software" for instructions on installing the printer's software.
Once the files are installed, you can use them to set up a PPD-driven
printer driver, such as the Adobe PSPrinter, for your printer; see "Phaser 300X Installer overview" for
instructions.
