Phaser 360


Connecting the printer
The printer can be connected to networks and single workstations. Refer to the PhaserShare Networking System Administrator Manual for more information on installing and configuring the printer on a network.

Printer ports

The Phaser 360 printer has the following ports:

  1. 10BaseT Ethernet connection

  2. SCSI port for an external hard drive

  3. parallel port

  4. slot for an optional network card (shown with card installed)

Connecting to a network

The Phaser 360 printer has a built-in 10BaseT Ethernet port for network connectivity. An expansion slot is provided for optional Tektronix PhaserShare network cards for 100BaseTx Ethernet (includes connection for 10Base2), Token Ring, or LocalTalk connections.

Connecting a PC or UNIX workstation to the parallel port

The printer supports a bidirectional parallel port. Connect your computer to the printer's parallel port with a standard parallel cable and the adapter shipped with your printer. Make all connections before you turn on the printer.

Connecting to a Macintosh

Connect Macintosh computers on a network through the built-in Ethernet interface. An optional LocalTalk network card is available.
