Enabling and disabling the Startup Page
You can choose to have a Startup Page print each time the printer is turned on or reset, or you can disable the Startup Page.

You can enable and disable printing of the Startup Page in several ways:

Enabling and disabling the Startup Page from the front panel

  1. While the Ready/Printer Name message is displayed, press the Menu button. The printer displays the first item in the setup menu:

    Help Pages

    <---- ----> Menu

  2. Using the left arrow (<----) or right arrow (---->) buttons, scroll through the selections until the following message appears:

    Printer Defaults

    <---- ----> Menu

  3. Press the Menu button to access the printer defaults settings.

  4. Using the left arrow (<----) or right arrow (---->) buttons, scroll through the selections until the following message appears:

    Startup Page

    <---- ----> Menu

  5. Press the Menu button to access the Startup Page settings.

  6. Press the right arrow (---->) button once for the following message:

    Startup Page:Disabled

    <---- ----> OK

  7. Press the OK button to disable printing of the Startup Page.

  8. To return to the top level of the menu, press the Exit button until the printer displays the Ready message.

Enabling and disabling the Startup Page with a downloadable utility file

 Use one of the following methods to download a utility file to the printer to enable or disable the Startup Page:

Macintosh utility file: Apple Printer Utility

  1. See Installing the Macintosh utility files to install the printer's software.

  2. Locate the Apple Printer Utility in the PhaserTools folder on your hard disk, and double-click its icon to start the application.

  3. In the Printer Selector dialog box, make the following selections:

    1. Under AppleTalk Zones, select your printer's zone location.

    2. Under Printers, select your Phaser 350 printer.

    3. Click Open Printer.

      A dialog box appears with the selected zone and printer name at the top.

  4. Click the arrow next to Printer Preferences. A list of options appears.

  5. Click the arrow next to Startup Page.

  6. Do one of the following steps:

  7. Click the Send button at the top of the dialog box to change the printer's setting.

PC utility file: STARTPG.PS/NOSTRTPG.PS

  1. Follow the instructions in Installing the PC utility files to install the printer's software.

  2. Locate the utility files in the PHSR350 subdirectory inside the PHSRTOOL directory created on your hard disk by the printer's installer.

  3. Select one of the following files:
