View and Configure TokenTalk Settings

Function Description
TokenTalk Enabled

This field allows you to enable and disable the protocol.

Printer Name

This field reports the printer's TokenTalk name (32 characters maximum).

Printer Type

This field reports the printer's TokenTalk type (LaserWriter; 32 characters maximum).

Zone

This field allows you to change the printer's TokenTalk zone. The TokenTalk zone must be 32 characters or less. Null characters cannot be used. The zone entered must be a zone that the printer is on.

Network.Node

This field reports the node ID established by the TokenTalk protocol.

Language

Select the language you want the printer to receive on the TokenTalk port; the choices are listed here (not all printers support all languages):

Filtering

This field allows you to choose whether the printer filters out control characters. The choices are InterpreterBased or None. In most cases, Filtering should be set to None.

Delayed Output Close*

When you choose True (On), the printer does not begin a new job on this port until the current job is completed. When you choose False (Off), the printer can begin processing a new job while it is still printing a previous job.

For Phaser 380, 350, 340, 560, 550, 600 printers: If Delayed Output Close is False (Off), job accounting is disabled for the TokenTalk protocol.

* If this field is not displayed, it is not supported by the printer.
