TCP/IP Enabled
|
This field allows you to enable and disable the protocol.

Host Name
|
Enter the host name, up to 15 characters.
|
IP Address
|
This is the printer's address on the network. The format is x.x.x.x, where x represents a decimal number from 0 - 255. The value entered must be a valid IP address and not 0.0.0.0, 255.255.255.255, or any address ending with 255.
The value in this field is overwritten when RARP or BOOTP/DHCP is enabled and a RARP or BOOTP/DHCP server assigns a value.

Network Mask
|
This is needed in networks that use sub-netting. If you are not using sub-netting, leave this blank; the printer will choose an appropriate mask. The format is x.x.x.x, where x represents a decimal number from 0 - 255.
The value in this field is overwritten when RARP or BOOTP/DHCP is enabled and a RARP or BOOTP/DHCP server assigns a value.

Broadcast Address
|
This is the address the printer uses to send broadcast packets. The format is x.x.x.x, where x represents a decimal number from 0 - 255. If you are unsure, leave this blank; the printer will choose an appropriate address.
The value in this field is overwritten when RARP or BOOTP/DHCP is enabled and a RARP or BOOTP/DHCP server assigns a value.

Default Gateway
|
Gateway addresses are used to communicate with devices not on the same network segment. Enter the gateway host IP address. The gateway host address is the address of a host that is used to retransmit the packets from the current network segment to another network segment. The format for each address is x.x.x.x, where x represents a decimal number from 0 - 255.
The value in this field is overwritten when RARP or BOOTP/DHCP is enabled and a RARP or BOOTP/DHCP server assigns a value.

True. The printer issues RARP requests when reset.
False. The printer does not issue RARP requests when reset.

True. The printer issues BOOTP and DHCP requests when reset.
False. The printer does not issue BOOTP and DHCP requests when reset.

|
This field reports the IP address of the DHCP server.

|
This field reports the date and time in this format:

This list box allows you to choose the frame type for packet transmission.

Media Type
|
In most environments, the correct choice is Default. The other settings are used where routers on the network place incorrect media type codes in packets. The choices are:
