Finisher Communication Error

There is a problem finisher.

  1. Verify that the cables connecting the finisher with the printer are firmly connected.

  2. Turn off the printer.

  4. Wait at least 10 seconds, and then turn on the printer.

  5. If the problem persists, call Technical Support.
  6. If the problem persists, you can remove the finisher.
    1. Turn off the printer.

    2. Disconnect the horizontal transport from the printer.

    3. Unplug the finisher power cord.

    4. Remove the booklet maker harness from the finisher.

    5. Unplug the finisher from the printer.

    6. Move the finisher away from the printer.

    7. Unscrew the two screws on the horizontal transport.

    8. Open Left Door A.

    9. Remove the horizontal transport.

    10. Close Left Door A.

    11. Turn on the printer.
