Add the printer's name to the host table and assign an IP address to the printer's name. Depending on your host system, you may do this one of three ways:

• Use NIS (Name Information Server, formerly Yellow Pages).
• Use DNS (Domain Name Server).
• Edit a file (for example, /etc/hosts ). For an example, see Example installation for a typical BSD UNIX system.
