For example, the Consumables Status page reports the percentage remaining for the following Phaser 740 printer consumables:

• Imaging Unit
• Transfer Kit
• Fuser
• Fuser Roll

For replaceable units (for example, the fuser) the percentage remaining is based on the expected life of the unit in prints. For example, if the expected life of the fuser is 30,000 prints and the percentage remaining is 25, then the fuser should be functional for about 7,500 more prints. Refer to the printer's user manual for information on the expected life of the replaceable units.

For toner cartridges, the Consumables Status page reports the following levels:

• OK. The cartridge contains enough toner to support at least 500 more prints at an average of 5% coverage.
• LOW. The cartridge contains enough toner to support at less than 500 more prints at an average of 5% coverage.
• OUT. The cartridge is empty.
