Setting up your printer on a TCP/IP network
|
Phaser 740 and 780 printers
TCP/IP
Windows 95 and Windows 98 platforms
This is the procedure for installing your Xerox color printer on a TCP/IP network using Windows 95 or Windows 98. Click the links below to obtain detailed instructions on each step. After completing each step, use your browser's back button to return to this page.
- If you are using a network card, the card must be installed in the printer. If the card is not yet installed in the printer, install it now. If you are using the printer's built-in network interface, skip this step.
- Connect the printer to the network (click the type of interface you are using):
- Print a configuration page.
- Configure your PC for TCP/IP.
- Set the printer's IP addressing parameters.
- Install Xerox PhaserPort software. (The installer prompts you to create your first port and install the driver.)
This completes the configuration.
