This is the procedure for installing your Xerox color printer on a TCP/IP network using a UNIX workstation. Click the links below to obtain detailed instructions on each step. After completing each step, use your browser's back button to return to this page.
- If you are using a network card, the card must be installed in the printer. If the card is not yet installed in the printer, install it now. If you are using the printer's built-in network interface, skip this step.
- Connect the printer to the network (click the type of interface you are using):
- Print a configuration page.
- Set the printer's IP addressing parameters:

Note: The next two steps contain links to general information about host configuration, for host-specific instructions, see the examples that follow them.
- Add the printer to the host table.
- Assign a print queue to the printer. Be sure to observe the required remote printer queue names.
Note: Special instructions for assigning print queues apply if you are using PhaserPrint for UNIX.
