Special character processing
If the Telnet Protocol parameter is set to
/Normal,
/BCP, or
/TBCP, the printer's Telnet server recognizes the following special characters:
-
Control-T. Server replies with an engine status message.
-
Control-C. Server transmits abort signal to the interpreter.
-
Control-D. Server interprets this character as input EOF (End-of-File).
The Telnet protocol defines a number of out-of-band signals. The following table describe the actions taken by the printer's Telnet server upon receipt of these signals.
