Install or Reseat the Drum Cartridge

The drum cartridge is missing or installed incorrectly. Install or reseat the drum cartridge. On the front panel of the printer, press the i button to view information about the front panel message. To view a video about how to replace the drum cartridge, visit the PhaserŪ 5500 Support web site.

Caution:  Use caution; some components inside Door A may be hot.

  1. Open Door A.

  2. Open the printer front door.

  3. If the drum cartridge is present, reseat it.

    1. Remove the drum cartridge.

    2. Reinstall the drum cartridge.

  4. If the drum cartridge is not present, install the drum cartridge.

  5. Close Door A.

  6. Close the printer front door.
